Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The One True God

There is one true God, the eternal Creator of heaven and earth, revealed in persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God in creation, Son in redemption, Holy Spirit in regeneration.

    Scriptures:

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:”

    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, a city of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.”

    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”

    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man, He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven.

    Scriptures:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

    ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭31‬-‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

All believers are entitled to and should seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

    • This experience is distinct from and subsequent to salvation, empowering believers for service and witness.

    Scriptures:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

    Scriptures:
“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10‬:‭44‬-‭46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, he said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19‬:‭1‬-‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith, doctrine, and conduct All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.

    Scriptures:
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

    ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Fall of Man

Humanity was created good but fell through disobedience, resulting in sin and separation from God.

    Scriptures:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”

    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬-‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Salvation of Man

Salvation is only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

    • It brings justification, regeneration, and new birth by the Holy Spirit.

    Scriptures:

'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. '

    Ephesians 2:8-9

'Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. ” '

    John 3:3

'At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, '

    Titus 3:3-5

  • Sanctification

Sanctification is both an instant and progressive work of grace that separates the believer from sin and enables them to live a holy life.

    Scriptures:

'May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. '

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. '

    Romans 12:1-2

  • The Ordinances of the Church

The House of Bread Ministries observers two ordinances:

    1. Water Baptism — by immersion, I the name of The Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins allowing personal faith in Christ.
    2. Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) — as a symbol of Christ’s suffering, death, and promised return.

    Scriptures:

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“(for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10‬:‭48‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.”

    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Church and Its Mission

The Church is the Body of Christ and has a divine mission to:

    1. Evangelize the world,
    2. Worship God
    3. Build up believers toward Christlikeness.

    Scriptures:
“and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • Divine Healing

Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided through Christ’s atonement.

    Scriptures:
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

    ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The Blessed Hope

The Rapture of the Church — the imminent return of Christ to take His people to heaven.

    Scriptures:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

    ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”

    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  • The New Heavens and the New Earth

God will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells forever.

    Scripture:

'Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. '

    2 Peter 3:13

    Revelation 21–22
